As transplant coordinators, our work often starts with someone's profound loss and grief, a reality that underscores the importance of sensitivity and compassionate understanding in our work. Grief is complex and deeply personal, affecting individuals in varied ways. To truly serve those who are navigating this difficult time, it's crucial to explore both our understanding of grief and our sensitivity to it.
In this Masterclass, our invited expert Dr Neena Verma will comprehensively explore loss, bereavement & grief and its relevance for transplant coordinators. She will address us on the theme of "Grief Sensitivity and Grief Affirmative Engagement".
Dr. Neena Verma is an Applied Behavioural Science expert with over three decades of experience in leadership, resilience, grief & emotional wellbeing consulting, training, coaching & counseling. She is a PCC-level ICF Coach, Certified Grief Therapist, "Deep Resilience" pioneer, Compassion-focused Therapy practitioner, Positive Psychologist and an internationally recognized thought leader in Appreciative Inquiry. Neena’s long-standing expertise in grief work found greater depth after the demise of her young son in 2014. She has since devoted herself more fully to grief, resilience & post-traumatic growth work. She has authored two books, including the first on "Grief & Growth" by an Indian author. She is currently writing another on resilience. Neena also runs an independent library movement for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
