In short, vampires exist in this universe but are unknown by humans. There are two types of vampires: Pure blood distinguished by their sharp pupils ; and half blooded with round pupils.
But, besides vampires, the healers were the forgotten mages. The healers should have disappeared from the world after each of them were killed by humans.
The war from hundreds of years ago was caused by the desire of vampires to take the healers for their own kingdom since their blood could immediately cure any wound except for the deadly ones.
Many people died anyway, the human king ordered that every single healer should be killed to stop the war since they were unwilling to give in to the vampires.
No healer was seen from that dark day’ till now.
