In this video we'll walk through and learn the tune Oh Shenandoah.

This is an excellent tune for both beginners and experienced players. The tune is an early eighteenth century (at least) story of a French-Canadian trader in love with the daughter of the chief of the Oneida people along the Missouri river.
I said I would provide a link to the lyrics. There are many versions of the lyrics, and many of the sites are clogged with adds. I decided to include a popular version of the lyrics here so you did not have to deal with adds:
"Oh Shenandoah,
I long to hear you,
Away you rolling river,
Oh Shenandoah,
I long to hear you,
Away, I'm bound away
'Cross the wide Missouri.
Oh Shenandoah,
I love your daughter,
Away you rolling river,
Oh Shenandoah,
I love your daughter,
Away, I'm bound away
'Cross the wide Missouri.
Oh Shenandoah,
I'm bound to leave you.
Away you rolling river,
Oh Shenandoah,
I'll not deceive you.
Away, I'm bound away
'Cross the wide Missouri."
