We diagnose a no start issue on a Craftsman, yard machines, MTD Snow Blower that will not start.
These are the same on many different models. This originally came in with a fuel leak issue, we replaced the carburetor and flushed the fuel tank/lines only to run for a few minutes then stop.
If you need to replace carburetor part number 951-10956A you can get it at https://amzn.to/3RdxvP9
After that we were only able to get it to run at very low rpm barely running or just sounds like it wanted to start.
This is a common issue people have after trying to fix their own snowblower and they bring it in and say they changed the oil cleaned or replaced the carburetor and spark plug but it still won't start.
An easy test will tell you if this is the case!
We test everything and we find a bad ignition coil on this powermore MTD engine. We replace the ignition coil and get it back running correctly.
This is the same ignition coil number 951-12013 that is used on many different brands, makes and models. We recommend only using OEM replacement parts for electrical items, especially ignition coils!
