Boutique Air - Pilatus PC 12 - Sacramento (SMF) to Los Angeles (LAX) | TRIP REPORT

Boutique Air is a commuter airline that operates scheduled passenger services subsidized under the Essential Air Service (EAS) program. The EAS program was put into place to guarantee that small communities maintain a minimal level of scheduled air service, and Boutique collects a subsidy serving small towns. In order for Sacramento-Los Angeles to qualify for the subsidy, our flight had a quick stopover in Merced, CA, one of the 159 towns listed on the list for subsidies.

Boutique operates the second-largest PC-12 fleet in the United States with 26 aircraft, and they advertise a "private" jet-like onboard experience.
