God has a way to show us he's with us even in the darkest moments of our lives. Yesterday my cousin Jackie went with my mom to visit my grandma in the hospital. Jackie FaceTimed the visit. We talked to grandma for several minutes with no response. Cousin Job on the stream yelled out to grandma that grandpa Carmen was waiting on her. Grandma started moving her hand reaching and searching for my grandpa. My grandpa was taken to see grandma today. My cousin Eddy live-streamed for us.
After ending the livestream of my grandfather's visit today, I had lunch. I savored and enjoyed mole, lunch I was supposed to eat yesterday. After lunch, received a group chat with the cousins who’d been updating the family of grandma’s situation. I didn't have connection and ran outside. I was staring at a rabbit peacefully staring at me, as they told me the news.
My grandmother waited 3 weeks to see my grandfather. About half an hour after my grandfather left the hospital, my grandmother passed away in peace. My grandparents spent 75 years together. My grandmother loved him till the end.
Rest In peace abuelita. I love you. I miss will you and will always carry you in my heart. Thank you for the memories and for everything.
