Removing the 944 quarter glass

In this video I removed the rear quarter glass from my 944. The glass is installed with a perimeter gasket that envelopes the glass and retains it to the inner metal flange. This provides retention and weather seal. To remove the glass, first we need to remove the aluminum trim and retainer. with it pried out of the way it allows for the gasket to be flexed out of the way. Gently insert a wide flathead screwdriver under the gasket in the front right corner at about a 30 degree angle which will enter behind the glass. Gently pry the glass forward in the front corner and apply gentle pressure from the inside. The gasket will slide forward and slip around the steel flange from the body. Gently continue to apply pressure and allow the gasket to work out. Be careful not to drop the glass.
