(1987) Sharks, crocodiles, stingers - they always catch the headlines as summer approaches, but there's a much scarier menace stalking our beaches. Melanoma - skin cancer - strikes several thousand Australians every year, and much of it can be blamed on people failing to take the most simple and basic precautions. If the statistics don't concern you, then perhaps a young man names Mark Marcelis, featured in this story, will be able to drive the message home. In his last 20's, he's dying from melanoma and may not even make it to Christmas, but he is devoting his final days to try to warn sun lovers about the hazards.
