This talk explores how music shapes the human brain and influences the way we think, feel, and experience the world. We often treat music as entertainment, yet its impact reaches much deeper—into memory, emotion, learning, and even identity. From childhood melodies to the songs that mark turning points in our lives, music creates neural pathways that stay with us for years. This talk explains how rhythm, harmony, and repetition activate different regions of the brain and why certain sounds can calm us, energize us, or bring back forgotten memories within seconds. Music not only reflects who we are; it subtly transforms us, rewiring our emotional responses and strengthening our cognitive abilities. As neuroscience continues to reveal the connections between sound and the mind, it becomes clear that music is more than an art form—it is a powerful tool for growth, healing, and connection. This talk invites viewers to consider how the music they listen to has shaped their inner world and how it continues to influence their thoughts, moods, and sense of self. I am currently studying at ALKEV Anatolian High School as an IB student. I actively participate in music events as a piano and guitar player and a singer. I also have been in the Debate Team for couple of years, participating in several tournaments.
