This prestigious honor is chosen by the esteemed Patient Preferred Physicians Network, which highlighted Dr. Ross for her leadership, excellence in patient care, and inspirational attitude to healthcare.
With over 20 years of experience in her field, Dr. Sharona Ross has continuously embraced new technology and medical advancement. Specializing in robotic and single-incision laparoscopic operations for conditions of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, pancreas, gallbladder, and liver, she has pioneered treatment while focusing on delivering exceptional patient care.
However, Dr. Ross has continued to push boundaries outside of the surgical theater. In 2009, she created, and to this day continues to develop, the Annual International Women in Surgery Career Symposium. This yearly conference brings together successful women surgeons with undergraduates, medical students, residents, and fellows, encouraging interaction and the exchange of ideas in the still male-dominated field.
