I've been wanting to find this old hidden whisky still in the Cheviot Hills for years.
An amazing, romantic hidden place, steeped in history and illicit spirits from a time when the Border was a less gentle place than the peaceful hills of the Cheviot Hills today.
The wind and weather were significant obstacles but the Alpkit Tarpstar performed very well.
I was accompanied by my faithfull doggo Darwin and the semi-legendary Mountain Hopper 57

A shame about the tire of my car flying off the wheel rim and having to be extracted from one of Northumberlands most remote roads by a flat bed, but no adventure is perfect!
