basically my headcanon for this cover and block tales in general is that the souls and pairs of eyes in dream world used to be humans but I can't really make up something of why they're their lol. and while they're there they get new bodies kinda like TADC lol. they're also disciples of Hatred, and if anyone who enters dream world (literally us) the disciples are not allowed to speak out to them. they also try to convince them to give up so he can be one with them, if not they just let them pass, assuming they'll be vanquished by one of the four bosses.
