This time, I’m talking about something a little different - the idea of “ugly privilege.”

And just to be clear up front: when I say “ugly”, I’m not trying to be harsh or shallow. I’m talking about people who don’t fit the usual beauty standards and don’t benefit from what’s often called pretty privilege. This video isn’t about creating more negativity - it’s just me exploring a side of the conversation that doesn’t get talked about as much.

I looked into a bunch of stories and perspectives from people who’ve been on the outside of beauty norms, and honestly, some of their experiences are really eye-opening. There are some real, unexpected upsides - like seeing people’s true colors, or learning how to build a sense of self that isn’t tied to how you look.

This isn’t just my personal take, it’s more of a collection of thoughts, experiences, and observations that I found interesting and wanted to share.
