Nirvana - On A Cross - 1996 (FAN ALBUM, READ DESC.)

DISCLAIMER: this is NOT A REAL ALBUM. All tracks are either band mock-ups or non-album recordings. Do Re Mi through The Yodel Song are all mock-ups by TheBeginningOfMusic. Verse Chorus Verse was made by Silktongs, Talk To Me was done by Olympian, And I Love Her was made by Aidan Sage. Sappy, You Know You’re Right, and E-Coli are real recordings. (I couldn’t really find who made the mock-up for Burn The Rain). This is purely done out of boredom, i don’t intend to make any full fledged alternate history with this, at least not yet. Anyways, here’s the bit of history I decided to do.


After Nirvana’s 1994 European tour was cut short, there was almost no news of them. All people really knew was that Kurt Cobain was in rehab and there was no progress being done on new material. However, in August of 1995, Nirvana had a surprise set at the Reading Festival. This was followed by a return to Pachyderm Studios to record material that Kurt had written, along with a few revisited tracks. In 1996, the lead singles, “You Know You’re Right” and “Verse Chorus Verse” were released. Sometime after, Nirvana’s fourth studio album, “On A Cross”, was released; this was followed by two more singles, “Talk To Me” and “Burn The Rain/Do Re Mi”.
