Job blueprinted how a shepherd ought to lead (Job 29:12-25). When he was acting judge/king, he served in his leadership position (cf Jer. 32:32). People, in unrighteousness, will use others' misfortunes as ladders to elevate their positions (Job 30:9-13). Even if God is not acting on our prayer, we should hope as Job did - unwavering in our eternal position with God (Job 30:23).
