Progesterone after Hysterectomy

What dose of progesterone do you recommend post hysterectomy when the ovaries are retained?

In traditional Hormone Therapy, post hysterectomy or after removal of the womb, we only offer estrogen or estradiol as a gel, patch, or spray for treatment of the hot flashes or the night sweats.

But progesterone is an equally important hormone—not only for these symptoms but also for our mood, cognition, sleep, and memory.

In my practice, I follow the whole-person or whole-body approach. So, I also offer progesterone as an oral micronized progesterone, 100 milligrams to 200 milligrams, after dinner at night in Hormone Therapy after hysterectomy.
