To cube a number, or raise it to a power of 3, in excel, left click on the answer cell, here cell A2, so it is highlighted. Next, type in an equals sign, and then type in the number you want to square, say 10. From here type in a to a power symbol, called a carat sign in excel, which is shift 6 on the keyboard. Next, type in 3 for cubed. And now we can hit the enter key and we have our answer of 1000.
