In sum, I ended up vlogging my experience getting a laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy. I was fortunate enough to keep my ovary and have no complications afterwards, but I know that isn't true for everyone. To be abundantly clear, I am in no way, shape, or form offering medical advise. I am simply sharing my experience with you in case you or someone you know might be curious about what the process might look like. If you are in need of medical attention, I urge you to speak with a healthcare professional or call emergency medical services, if urgent.
*Update Post-Op Day 19: I am feeling back to normal entirely. My scars are really small and I know will fade even more over time. My belly button shrunk a bit which is interesting! The noticeable difference is that I have some stretch marks that were 're-stretched' during the procedure and have become prominent again, but I think those too will dissipate more over time, though not entirely.
