Router Table Top rebuild with NEW SELFMADE Insert plate!

My router table top got damaged during recent heavy rain and the roof of my workshop had a leak. The top and fence had to be remade and that's what I'm doing in this video. I also decided to make a new router insert plate from aluminum. The cabinet is a standard box type cabinet made from Melamine. The top is made from 2 sheets of 16mm Melamine, doubling the size gives more support while routing but also has a very smooth surface , making it ideal for router table. The fence is made from MDF. The router plate is made to fit my DIY lift mechanism that have a lift adjustment screw and a locking feature, holding the bit at set height. To finish the insert plate, I engraved some detail and my logo, with my CNC and a V carve bit. Then polished up the aluminum to a smooth shiny finish.
