So…..what can I do with this degree? (pt.1)
Earning a graduate degree is a big deal! The graduate degrees in counseling (at the masters and doctoral level) have a tremendous amount to offer. We learn about clinical practice and supervision in this field. We also learn about teaching, research, advocacy, leadership and best practices within the discipline. This all sounds great while we are in school. How do we apply these skills after graduation? Outside of the program, is it easy to “just start a practice”? How can we find jobs in agencies, practices, hospitals, universities, and other institutions? Can we work in advertising? What is really out there within and “outside of the box”?
Join us for Trust the Process on Saturday, February 04, 2023. Drs. Dickson, Rush-Wilson and other faculty members will share information about how we can use graduate degrees in counseling. They will also share their experiences of navigating the post-masters and post-doctorate work environment, offer some tips that may be helpful and share information about a few pitfalls you may want to avoid.
