My Northern Lights Painting for Beginners using Bob Ross Technique is an ideal painting for beginners. My version is loosely based on one Bob painted for The Joy of Painting tv show. I used Bob Ross landscape colors and liquid clear. I also used Bob Ross brushes and a palette knife.

My step-by-step tutorial shows you how to paint wet on wet oils using the same techniques made famous by Bob Ross.
