"From a Window" is a song written by Paul McCartney, attributed to Lennon/McCartney, originally written for Peter and Gordon but recorded by Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas. It was the sixth and final Lennon/McCartney composition given to Kramer.

The song was recorded on May 1964 at Abbey Road and produced by George Martin. John and Paul were present during the recording session. In fact it is believed that McCartney can be heard at the very end of the song, harmonizing with Kramer on the final word.

The song reached number 10 on the singles chart, indicated an abrupt drop in popularity for Kramer & the Dakotas whose previous chart history comprised four Top 5 hits (two of them no. 1’s)

There’s no known recording of Paul McCartney or any beatle performing this song.
