Conductor and pianist William Eddins has a history with the Minnesota Orchestra that goes back more than three decades—the Buffalo, New York, native began as assistant conductor in 1992, then became associate conductor, a position he served in for five years. Thirty years later, he leads the Orchestra's 22-23 season opener, an honor that usually goes to the music director. We talked with Eddins about the work he'll lead, Wynton Marsalis' Swing Symphony, opening a socially missioned brewery and why music education is key.
