Digitized 16mm film of the United States Army Corps 53rd Engineer Battalion building and testing a temporary pontoon bridge for transporting armored vehicles over shallow water at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The film was in the possession of William E. Cowley, Sr., a mechanical engineer who served in the Corps of Engineers during World War II.
The digitized film (ID 024PC38.1) is held by the Filson Historical Society, Louisville, Kentucky.
