আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে নিঃশর্ত ক্ষমা চাইলেন সুপ্রিম কোর্টের জ্যেষ্ঠ আইনজীবী জেড আই খান পান্না। জোরপূর্বক গুম, খুন ও নির্যাতনের অভিযোগে মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের পৃথক মামলায় শেখ হাসিনার পক্ষে আইনি লড়াইয়ের ঘোষণা দিয়ে না আসায় তাকে তলব করা হয় ট্রাইব্যুনালে। পরে ট্রাইব্যুনােলে গিয়ে নিঃশর্ত ক্ষমা চান তিনি।

গত ২৩ নভেম্বর সকালে শেখ হাসিনার পক্ষে লড়তে চেয়ে ট্রাইব্যুনালে আবেদন করেন আইনজীবী জেড আই খান পান্না। পরে এ বিষয়ে শুনানিতে ট্রাইব্যুনাল-১ এর চেয়ারম্যান বিচারপতি মো. গোলাম মর্তূজা মজুমদারের নেতৃত্বাধীন তিন সদস্যের ট্রাইব্যুনাল আবেদন মঞ্জুর করে স্টেট ডিফেন্স হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেন পান্নাকে।
