When Kurt Squiers of SQUiERS, LLC and Gregg Ferguson of Current Motion caught up with Mastodon at the infamous Cats Cradle during the filming of their AC/DC documentary, 'Beyond the Thunder' it was a pleasant and raw surprise for these filmmakers. The duo shot live b-roll footage as Brent broke out his Gibson SG especially for this track. This American progressive metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, originally formed in 1999, have become one of the most notable bands in the new wave of heavy metal. Guitarist/vocalist, Brent Hinds, discussed his passion for the originality of Mastodons music with SQUiERS, LLC & Current Motion with a live and stirring rendition of The Czar. They have released four full-length albums, toured worldwide opening for Metallica, achieving increased album sales and an ever expanding fan base with each new release.
