I see you with the falling sun
Wrapped about you like a halo
Your face is fading with the coming twilight
And though it’s just a memory
I reach to touch your figure
But your image disappears into the night

What started as a whirlwind
Has ended as a whimper
Of a passion that was never meant to live
Seeing what we should have then
