Pumpkin Kootu
Channa dal - 1 cup
Split moong dal - 2 tsp
Salt
Curry leaves
Water - 1.5 cup
Soak and Grind
Dry red chili - 2
Rice - 3/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coconut - 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Temper
Coconut oil - 1 tsp
Mustard, urad dal - each 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
Hing - a pinch
For pumpkin seeds chutney
Pumpkin seeds Thogayal
Ingredients
1. In a pan dry roast 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds. Once roasted, take them and add it to a mixie
2. Add oil - 3/4 tsp
curry leaves , coriander, green chili - all random measurements
fry them well
3. Add tamarind - 1/2 lemon size or slightly more also fine
4. Add coconut - 1/2 cup and fry for a min
5. Add water, salt and grind to a thogayal consistency.
6. Temper with
Coconut oil, mustard, urad dal ,cumin , Hing powder
