Hadimba Temple is one of the most loved tourist attractions in the quaint hill town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated amidst beautiful hills and has attractive deodar trees all around it. The temple is locally known as Dhungri Mandir due to its location in the Dhungri forest area of Manali. This ancient Hindu place of worship was built in 1553 by Raja Bahadur Singh. The main deity worshipped in this temple is the demon goddess Hadimba. This temple is also known as Hidimba Devi Mandir.

Interestingly, there is no idol of Goddess Hadimba kept inside the temple; rather, devotees worship a rock with footprints of the goddess inside the temple. It is believed that Hadimba Devi used to meditate on this rock located inside the cave, around which the temple is built. Locals believe that the goddess protects them from natural calamities and their sufferings.

Since the Manali Hadimba Devi Temple is nestled amidst lush green trees, visiting the temple is an opportunity to experience spirituality while also admiring the natural beauty around. The temple is visited by devotees throughout the year, but the number increases even more, especially during the summer months when tourists from different parts of the country visit Manali to enjoy its pleasant weather. During the summer month of May, the temple authorities organize the three-day Hadimba Festival, which celebrates various cultural festivals based on local music, dance, and folklore.
