Balimwezo Ronald, also known as Ronald Balimwezo Nsubuga, is a Ugandan civil engineer, academic, community leader, and politician widely recognized for his contributions to urban governance and grassroots leadership in Kampala. Born on 28 November 1972, he has built a multifaceted career that blends technical expertise, public administration, and national politics.

Balimwezo Ronald is professionally trained as a civil engineer. He pursued advanced studies in engineering and later became a lecturer at Kyambogo University, where he taught and mentored students in engineering and related technical disciplines. Alongside academia, he worked as a construction project designer and manager, gaining hands-on experience in infrastructure development and project implementation. This technical background has strongly influenced his approach to public service and policy oversight.

His political journey began at the local government level in 2006 when he was elected as a councillor in Nakawa Division, Kampala. Through consistent engagement with residents and municipal leadership, he rose to become Mayor of Nakawa Division, a position he held for several years. As mayor, Balimwezo Ronald became known for his focus on service delivery, community mobilization, and urban development within one of Kampala’s fastest-growing areas.

In 2021, Balimwezo Ronald transitioned to national politics after being elected Member of Parliament for Nakawa East Division.
