Imagine spending hours on your videos, constantly grinding them out to consistently grow whatever you wanna do, whether that be an art project or in this case a YouTube channel. Imagine you build up your credibility, create an audience, do all of that. And then, imagine another bigger channel just straight up takes a part of your video. Not just a segment for context and used within fair use, but a huge chunk of your work. With a topic like covering crime cases you can expect there to be some overlap between creators, especially when a lot of people tend to go for the more popular cases or ones that are currently happening. But that makes it a lot easier for some to get away with ripping off others.
