In a major update the FMCSA is no longer requiring CDL drivers to be issued or to carry a medical card or medical certificate once completing a DOT physical. The new procedure includes the doctors office directly reporting that you passed the physical to the FMCSA. From there the FMCSA will report to the state where the driver has his or her CDL.
Note: This change does not affect commercial drivers who do not need a CDL
