Despite global efforts to protect them, rhino numbers continue to decline and poaching has become a multimillion-dollar illegal trade. There are many heroes who devote their lives to safeguarding rhinos, using an array of approaches. Dr Tim Kuiper and his team studied the effectiveness of these approaches and found that only one significantly reduced rhinoceros loss. This week Dr Kuiper will be live on Unlocking Nature to discuss the effectiveness of the various approaches used to reduce rhino poaching, explain what really works, and delve into how much it really costs.
