Kehelgamu Oya

Kehelgamu Oya is a major river in Sri Lanka’s Central Highlands and one of the two main tributaries of the Kelani River. Water from Castlereagh Reservoir is first channeled through tunnels to the Wimalasurendra Power Station and later reused downstream at other power stations such as Old Laxapana, maximizing energy production from the same water.
