Our story: Why we moved away from Fishers, Indiana

Fishers has grown dramatically since I bought my first home here in 2004. Back then, this spot was farmland with a little red barn and an old sycamore tree (which is still standing!). Today? It's buzzing with local restaurants like *Wild Ginger* (great sushi) and **Chatham Tap**, plus tons of shops and businesses. It’s family-friendly, vibrant, and full of life—a place that’s truly changed for the better.

But here’s the thing: *location is everything**. We loved Fishers, but with my wife’s long commutes to Avon and northwest Indianapolis, we had to make a tough call and move to **Greenfield**, where the day-to-day just *worked better for us.

If you’re considering a move around *Indy Metro**—whether it’s Fishers, Carmel, Zionsville, Greenwood, or Avon—there are incredible places to live. Each city has its own vibe and charm, but the key is finding the location that fits *your life.
