About the artist :
KSHITIJ MATHUR, is a visionary, scholar and a promising young Indian classical vocal performing artist from Delhi. He started learning Hindustani vocals from a tender age under the blessed tutelage of his grandmother, Smt. Saroj Mathur (disciple of Late Padmashri Pt. Vinaya Chandra Maudgalya and Late Smt. Padma Devi)

He is a Sangeet Alanakar from the prestigious Gandharava Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi under the strict & disciplined guidance of Shri Samarjit Roy, Smt. Subhadra Desai & Shri S.P. Acharya and also a Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

For many years, he taught Hindustani classical vocal music at the esteemed institution Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi and is blessed to be a disciple of one of the most renowned and respected senior Indian Classical Vocalist & Guru Padmashri Pt. Madhup Mudgal (Principal, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, new Delhi) and under his able guidance he was also a part of the world renowned GANDHARVA CHOIR .

Kshitij Mathur, apart from himself being a performing artist, associates with many premier Institutions & initiatives, keeps exploring & discovering new boundaries in Indian Culture and its Art Forms with experimentations and innovations, while maintaining its traditional dignity & rich cultural values.

He is currently:
● Chairperson, SWARIT FOUNDATION (An Art, Culture & Welfare Entertainment Trust)
● Director at SAADHYAN - Academy of Performing Arts(An education initiative under Swarit Foundation Trust for training in Indian Classical Music & its forms)
● Senior Hindustani Vocal Music Mentor at Matri Kala Mandir of the prestigious Sri Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi.
● President (Noida-NCR) for the prestigious SANGAM KALA GROUP (A 40 year old pioneer group which has given initial platforms to singing stars like Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, etc. to name a few).
