营造社区与公众参与、自治共治有关，现代的社区需要跨领域的专业者深度理解在地，并在地方经济、社会治理、文化创新等不同方面形成一个更可持续的策略，同时保持着社区本真魅力的部分。它更像一种思维方式。因为人人都可以参与到社区的共创中，城市是人人共同的舞台。 The experience of participating in rural development and old community remolding in China made He see the imbalance between urban development and the rhythm of social construction; he also realized the disconnection between the practice of architecture and the real-life in the context of rapid urban development. On the one hand, He wants to explore the professional
possibility of "designing for and with the public"; on the other hand, he also realized that architecture alone could not solve the complex proposition of sustainable development of city and society, which needs to communicate with other disciplines.
Therefore, combining the "hardware" and "software" for systematic thinking to push the sustainable development of cities and communities has become He Jia's mission.
