Krug Clos du Mesnil Vineyard 2017 Harvest

The Champagne harvest in 2017 was just underway at the end of August and The Finest Bubble visited Krug's Clos du Mesnil vineyard, a 1.84 hectare plot surrounded by the small village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Its east facing aspect and protection from the village creates a warm micro climate so one of the eight plots in this famous Clos (single walled plot) had already been harvested, several days before the Champagne harvest was underway.
