Dean's 3rd driving lesson with Bob

Dean decides to do more work on his manoeuvres as during the last lesson he only got the opportunity to do a bay park but did dramatically improve his ability to approach and manage roundabouts as well becoming much more aware of the importance of knowing what was behind.

Unlike traditional instruction LDC heavily promotes student centred learning rather than the instructor centred fault orientated learning approach offered by most other driving schools. This involves the student being encouraged to take more responsibility for their own development by using the LD System materials before and after each lesson and by using discovery learning with self determination and reflection; rather than being continually criticized and told what to do by the instructor. In particular talk through instruction, prompted practice and long winded explanations are avoided, if at all possible - instead encouraging the student to work it out for themselves.

The idea behind the LD System is that you watch the video, do a quiz in the workbook and then put the lesson into practice. The workbook also contains a set of activities and targets for each practical lesson along with a reflective diary to help you consolidate your learning, explore your progress and plan what you want to do next.
