Diddling in Fife

I diddled on the Fife Coastal Path, between Leven and Elie.
The railway line and station at Leven were closed in 1969 as part of the Beeching railway cuts, but last year, in 2024, they were opened again.
With the growing popularity of the car, and the resultant reduction in the use of public transport, it's nice to see a railway line opened up again.
With that same car popularity we are seeing a noticeable reduction in bus journeys, with any number of bus routes being cut back and reduced. In some areas of Scotland, it has become nigh impossible to be a tourist and venture into the country's stunning landscapes because there is now simply no longer a bus service at times that make it practical for the visitor to explore.
This is just an old guy walking from Leven to Elie, passing through Lundin Links and Lower Largo, on the Fife Coastal Path. But it's really much more than that.
I diddled. And in places I diddled where there is no longer a railway.
