「i」- 髥莏 | Piano Arrangement

This is x髥莏's (or Kyozou's) "i", arranged for piano! Bad English translation also included!

A tribute and medley of songs by Kyozou and He who shan't be named, "i" is the third in a trilogy of music dedicated to K******. It's also the most upbeat one of the three, yet the least stylistically similar to K******'s music. I was (and still am) engrossed with Kyozou's work and when this came up in my subscriptions back in 2019, it was a pleasant surprise. It's not only a great finale to the trilogy, but also a subtle bridge into Kyozou's own distinct musical style.

The Japanese and Chinese lyrics at the bottom of the video were taken straight from the original upload by Kyozou. The English lyrics were written by myself taking cues from both the Japanese lyrics and Chinese translation with a very large pinch of Google Translate. If they seem off or different from their intended meanings, I apologise in advance! I had to add in a little more flavour text to patch out the large number of extra syllables the Japanese lyrics had compared to the raw translations (the Chinese translation does so too). Rhyming is hard.

As for the chord symbols and key, they were also taken from the video. I think Kyozou made a few mistakes swapping the "dim7" with "m7 dim" chords in said video, or maybe I can't music theory. But I've still used the chord symbol display in the video as a reference while writing the arrangement. Also regarding the colour associated with each key, I don't have synaesthesia but I sometimes like to think of flat keys as being cool-coloured while sharp keys as warm-coloured. Other than that, the hues were arbitrary, though I take F major, my favourite key as green, my favourite colour :D
