**Apologies this is not a gaming video. I am leveling a skill IRL and tried to post this on a secondary channel. Unfortunately Epidemic sound put in a copyright claim since that channel wasn't linked to my subscription with them, but this channel is covered. So I am uploading here. Thank you for your understanding.
With the shortage of supplies to make masks at home, I searched for a bias tape maker that you could assemble at home. I found the Scientific Seamstress and while her blog from 2011 no longer hosts the pdf pattern she created, I stared at the pictures and came up with this.
http://scientificseamstress.blogspot....
Supplies:
Manila folder/card stock/cereal box (whatever you have on hand that is more durable than paper)
exacto knife and mat or something to cut with (scissors or rotary cutter will also work)
adhesive of some sort, I used a tape gun and washi tape (advise against hot glue as it will remelt with the iron)
ruler/straight edge
something to help you crease folds, I used a rotary cutter handle
Fingers (preferably ones that aren't dried out or recovering from an allergic reaction to soap)
patience
I am currently using 3/4 inch bias tape as 1/2 inch didn't cover my seams and 1 inch was too hard to tie (also used more material). 3/4 seems to be my goldilocks size.
To all of you crafters that are patient and kind enough to use your talents to make masks for others, you are the frontline support we all need.
Please stay healthy and safe!!
This is the face mask pattern I am currently using. Instead of elastic on the sides, I am using 36 inches of bias on each side for ties
