Just one of many ways to extend a 1/4" shaft on a volume control or other... 1/4" shaft couplers are available, but at times that can conflict w/ the cabinet. Using 1/4" tubing with a slit to expand over the control stem is another widely used method and procedure that works well. I am using 9/32" outside diameter brass tubing (K&S Precision Metals #8132) w/ an inner diameter just slightly larger than 1/4". The Crosley 718-B knobs have set screws for reference.
