Heartfelt Update on Vito and his Merkel Cell Carcinoma Stage IV ~|~ LULU

My husband, Vito, was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma on Dec 2, 2017. It is an extremely rare and aggressive cancer, about 1600 cases per year in the US. There are very few oncologists familiar with this cancer, it is an orphan disease and no protocol by the FDA. In the US, there are 37 doctors who are considered expert. Only 37. Very luckily, two of them are in Chicago at Northwestern. The worst part is that there is so little data because very few have this cancer and for those who do, the mortality rate is high. In the last year, amazing new therapies have been in trial and the FDA has fast tracked all of them. An immunotherapy infusion was approved at the end of March.

I ask that you copy and paste the web address for this video and share it on your facebook or groups or whereever. I want to know others with Merkel Cell. We need each other. There are two support groups, just two, and I follow a few blogs.
