More specifically, this video is going to show you exactly how to install kitchen cabinets from A to Z. Here are a few of the information "nuggets" from the video:

1. Setting the Ledger Board
When installing your wall cabinets, it is extremely important that you have a level ledger board to set the cabinets upon. This ledger board is typically a 2"x4" piece of lumber and it is temporarily attached the wall so that it is perfectly level. This ledger board will make hanging the upper / wall cabinets 10X easier.

2. Finding the "High Point" of the Kitchen Floor
In order to ensure that your base cabinets are perfectly level across the entire kitchen, you need to start by finding the "high point" of the floor in the kitchen. To find the hight point, establish a level line on the wall of the kitchen. Next, measure from the floor to the level line in a few locations in your kitchen. The smallest dimension measured indicates that the floor is the highest in that location. This will be the "high point" in the kitchen and will establish the mounting height for the base cabinets. All of the other cabinets will be shimmed as needed to raise them to the same level.

3. Using a Cabinet Hardware Jig
The last thing you want to do is spend thousands of dollars on cabinets and then botch up the cabinet hardware installation. I highly recommend the use of a $10 cabinet hardware jig to take all of the stress out of measuring.

Although installing cabinets is not complicated, there are few crucial steps that are required to ensure that your cabinets are level, plumb, and so that they look like they were installed by a professional. I hope this video helps you to achieve a perfect kitchen cabinet installation!
