Today's lesson is an introduction to Phrasal verb and is the beginning on a series of short lessons for phrasal verbs.
A phrasal verb is when you put a verb together with a preposition like in, on, to, from etc, giving the verb a new meaning, you need to learn these!
Some of these phrasal verbs are used very often, for example, get up, which means to get up in the morning, to wake up.
However, some phrasal verbs are not very obvious, for example, blow up, which means to use explosives to destroy something.
With phrasal verbs you still have to change the verb when you are using different tenses.
Sometimes phrasal verbs can have two different meanings, for example, look into, in can mean to literally look into something, like a box, but it can also mean to investigate something.
