Alila Jabal Akhdar, Oman- FULL RESORT TOUR

Situated in a spectacular location, Alila Jabal Akhdar offers a getaway like no other. This mountainous region is one of Oman's most stunning destinations, with Alila providing unlimited panoramic views, complemented by the resort's traditional-looking accommodation.

The resort is located around 2000m above sea lever, on part of the Al Hajar mountain range. Although a 2.5- hour drive from Muscat may seem like a while, you will soon begin to experience the scenic journey that will lead you deep into the mountains.

Dining:
Seeing as Juniper is the resort's only restaurant, I expected slightly higher standards for a resort with such positive reputation. I visited this resort right after I was able to get out of the UK, and its safe to say Alila was still working under covid terms. As opposed to a buffet, Juniper was an A la Carte restaurant, however many options were repeated for lunch and dinner, leaving us with few choices towards the end of my stay. A similar thing can be said about service- although I cannot blame the resort as every hotel is facing the same issue.

Apart from that minor detail, I must say I really enjoyed my stay at Alila- the rooms were spacious and clean, the spa made for an enjoyable experience, and there was always plenty of space to relax by the pool. Overall, I highly recommend this destination, especially for those looking to opt for something different as opposed to a beach holiday.
