Room tour of a Standard Room with sofa bed of the Hampton by Hilton Stuttgfart City Centre

The hotel is located a ten minutes’ walk from Stuttgart main station a part of a newly developed area. It is near the Milaneo shopping centre with several food outlets. The underground line U12 station “Budapester Straße” is in front of the hotel. The underground station “Stadbibilothek” (line U5, U6, U7 and U15) is a three minutes’ walk. All lines connect the hotel with the main station.

The hotel shared the building with the Permier Inn. Both hotels are separated and do not share any facilities (except for fire escape stairs).
The hotel is very new and has nine floors. The room on the top floor have a slightly different layout than the rooms on the remaining floors. They are narrowed and wider.

Check Inn could be very busy. Usually there are two agents on duty except off peak times. As I checked in around 15:10 one agent was busy, but the other was available, and I could check in right away. The agent thanked me for being a Diamond Members and I received both points and two bottles of water.

A small gym is located on the first floor of the hotel and open 24/7. Also on the ground floor is the bar. The breakfast area is on the mezzanine level. A stair leads from the ground floor up to the mezzanine level, but you can also take the elevator.

Breakfast is the usual Hampton Inn breakfast (scrambled eggs, fried vegetables, sausages and pancakes), salami, cheese, salad and a selection of bread and rolls.

My room was on the eight floor and followed the standard layout of the (newer) European Hampton Inn style.

Right next to the entrance is the somehow small but well arranged bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The sink has place to store some utensils but is somewhat small. Water pressure of the shower was quite strong but given that the glass panel is too short, water was dripping on the floor. Two large and medium sized towels were provided. The mirror was heated, which was nice. The sliding door to the bathroom doubles with the closet.

The rooms feature the usual a grey-brown colour scheme. Space is a bit limited, especially between bed and wall. I have encountered larger rooms in Hampton by Hilton hotels.

Tea and coffee were provided along with a kettle. The desk was nice to have and came with power outlets and USB charging outlets. Additional USB outlets were at the nightstand.

The bed is comfortable. Curtains do not block the light completely. Windows could be opened, but there is some noise from the street and the underground station. Sound proofing is good (if the windows are closed.

Staff during is friendly. Check out was quick and the folios was printed, and points posted correctly the next day
