Cold shadows of snow: the story of Hossein and Soraya in the painful intrigues of Hojjat

Hosseini, the young boy of the nomads, is only 12 years old, but his life is filled with challenges greater than his age. He lives in the heart of a harsh and pristine nature, where their simple tent is hardly sufficient to shield them from the biting cold of winter. On chilly nights, when the gusty winds shake his small frame and that of his mother, Soraya, their only hope lies in each other and their familial love.

Soraya, Hosseini's selfless mother, warmly embraces difficulties and always tries to keep a smile on her son's face. She tells him old, passionate stories to keep the hope alive in his heart. However, these days weigh heavily on her; the hard life and economic pressures have drained her and left her disheartened.

Hojjat, Hosseini's elder brother, looms over their lives like a shadow. He is a young man full of jealousy and resentment. Instead of supporting his brother and mother, he engages in scheming, making life even harder for them. He spends most of his time seeking his own interests and cannot endure the pressures faced by his brother and mother. These schemes, along with the hardships of living in nature, cause Hosseini and Soraya to experience moments filled with sadness and despair.

Yet, in the depths of darkness, there is a glimmer of hope. Hosseini, with bravery and strong determination, continues to strive. He knows he must fight for himself and his mother. Every morning, with warmth and love for life, he goes in search of food and essential supplies to help his mother. Hosseini is the little hero of the nomads, a champion who keeps the light of hope alive in his eyes even in the midst of cold nights and life’s challenges.
