Pingtang Bridge is an expressway in Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture , Guizhou Province, China. It is located above the Caodu River Grand Canyon and is an important part of the Yuqing-Anlong Expressway (Qiannan Expressway S62) and an important transportation hub in southern Guizhou.

The construction of Pingtang Bridge started on April 29, 2016 the bridge tower capping project was completed in November 2018 the main bridge closure project was completed on September 26, 2019, and the entire bridge was connected and it was opened to traffic on December 30, 2019.

Pingtang Bridge starts from Tongzhou Interchange in the west, crosses the Caodu River Grand Canyon, and ends at Yazhou Interchange in the east. The bridge is 2,135 meters long and 30.2 meters wide. The bridge deck is a two-way four-lane expressway with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The total investment is approximately RMB 1.5 billion

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
On April 29, 2016, the construction of Pingtang Bridge started
ON DECEMBER 25, the Pingtang Bridge completed the acceptance work; and on DECEMBER 30, the Pingtang Bridge was opened to traffic.


DESIGN CONCEPT
Pingtang Bridge spans a thousand-meter valley, and the three bridge towers should adopt the same tower shape to form a landscape as a whole and match the mountain. Given that the flat bridge tower facade is relatively monotonous, in order to improve the overall structural rigidity and meet the requirements of force and bridge landscape, the design adopts a strong and stable spatial diamond tower shape that is more distinctive in visual level. In this way, the bridge deck landscape is rich and well integrated, and the various components are coordinated and unified, strong and powerful



平塘大桥（Pingtang Bridge），是中国贵州省黔南布依族苗族自治州境内的高速通道，位于槽渡河大峡谷之上，是余庆—安龙高速公路（黔高速S62）重要组成部分之一 也是贵州南部的重要交通枢纽

平塘大桥于2016年4月29日动工兴建于2018年11月完成桥塔封顶工程于2019年9月26日完成主桥合龙工程，大桥全线贯通于2019年12月30日通车运营

平塘大桥西起通州互通，上跨槽渡河大峡谷之上，东至牙舟互通；大桥全长2135米，主桥全宽30.2米；桥面为双向四车道高速公路，设计速度80千米/小时总投资额约15亿元

建设历程
2016年4月29日，平塘大桥开工建设
2019年1月25日，平塘大桥完成平塘岸主桥0节段的混凝土浇筑工作 9月26日，平塘大桥完成主桥合龙工程，大桥全线贯通 12月25日，平塘大桥完成交工验收工作；12月30日，平塘大桥通车运营。


设计理念
平塘大桥横跨千米山谷，三座桥塔宜采用相同的塔型，便于形成景观整体，才能与山势相匹配。鉴于平面桥塔立面较为单调，为提高结构整体刚度，满足受力与桥梁景观需求，设计中采用刚劲稳定，同时又在视觉层次上更具特色的空间钻石塔造型，这样桥面景观丰富整体性好，各构件协调统一，刚劲有力。
